Suites and serenades are popular musical forms of baroque and classical masters. At the end of the 19th century Edward Grieg delved into the old baroque times in his charming suite in honor of the Norwegian-Danish playwright Ludvig Holberg, a rival of the famous Molière. Swedish composer Lars-Erik Larsson respected the tradition of the 19th century; his music is neo-aromatic with distinctive harmonization and melodic phrasing, making it easily recognizable. Theatre Suite, a new work by Ľubica Čekovská, will most likely contain a modern insight into the issue of the suite form. Jean Riviera, a pedagogue at the Paris Conservatoire, infuses his concerto for alto saxophone, trumpet, and string orchestra with the French charm characteristic of the neoclassical school. Alto saxophone and trumpet are not the usual combination of concert instruments. Vital, rhythmically detailed and melodically charming parts will be performed by leading Slovak artists who are close to classical music and jazz. Alongside pianist and saxophonist Ladislav Fančovič, leader the of Fats Jazz Band, trumpeter Ľubomír Kamenský will perform.
Točili sme na iphony... zvuk bol vemi zašumený... lebo Andrej dal pre istotu nižší level.
