In 1817, Vienna was in a frenzy caused by Italian opera - especially the work of Gioachino Rossini. The twenty-year-old Franz Schubert took advantage of this 'psychosis' and offered the public two brilliant Preludes in Italian style. The Slovak composer Egon Krák likes to link his musical creations with important events or anniversaries of cultural life. In his vocal symphonic poem Divina belezza he pays tribute to Francesco Petrarch in connection with the multiple anniversaries of the brilliant Italian poet - a great singer of love and beauty. Italy for the third time: Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy was not only an active composer and performer, but also devoted himself to the management of musical life. This activity occasionally necessitated foreign excursions; in the case of his stay in Italy, the charming, Apollonian Symphony in A major was composed.
