The extensive cycle of counterpoint examples The Art of Fugue by Johann Sebastian Bach is one of the titles that present their author as a timeless phenomenon. In his piano works, Robert Schumann sought to link music to poetry or to fantasy images; Dream is one of his most famous miniatures. Dreamy inspirations were also close to Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, besides the First Symphony “Winter Dreams ” he also gave them a place in the piano trifle from the cycle Seasons. ** Maria Theresia von Paradis was a blind pianist and composer, her playing and creativity attracted the attention of the genius Mozart. The String Quartet in F major is the last of Ludwig van Beethoven's opuses of this kind, and is clearer and brighter in comparison with the other late quartets. Although Dmitri Shostakovich was distinguished as a composer of great symphonies, he was equally influential in the field of the string quartet. Jaroslav Ježek was primarily a jazz musician, an improvising pianist. He wrote many impressive songs for the Liberated Theatre.
